Thirty years after the idea for the World Wide Web was initially proposed by Tim Berners-Lee, and one year after our organization launched at AWE EU in Munich, we announced our ambitious plan to design and build a reference implementation the minimal viable version of what we call the Open Spatial Computing Platform by the end of 2020.

This is Open AR Cloud's challenge to the emergence of several walled garden ecosystems that don’t work together and promote unhealthy vendor lock-in. We believe that an open platform inspired by the web that works for everyone everywhere is a better candidate to become an engine of economic, technological and cultural development.
